This work deals with the ambivalence of human presence in the French Southern territories.

Reaching the archipelago takes fifteen days by boat. Four times per year, the ship Marion Dufresne brings scientists, food and material supplies for a few months.

The precariousness of the projects attempted in Kerguelen during the last century and their impact on nature are the central theme of the project.

Other dimensions, such the beauty of the place, and the joy of the people who stay there expand on the main theme.
